Basketball Recap: San Marcos Academy Comes Up Short

San Marcos Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a blow against the Live Oak Classical Falcons, falling 86-11. The matchup marked the Bears' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Leading Live Oak Classical to victory were Jayden Ogden and Duncan Ogden. Jayden almost dropped a triple-double on 15 points, nine assists, and ten steals, while Duncan went 9 for 13 on his way to 19 points and six assists. Those ten steals gave Jayden a new career-high. Wes Snowden was another key player, going 5 of 7 on his way to 12 points.

San Marcos Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Live Oak Classical, they pushed their record up to 16-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

San Marcos Academy will head out to face off against Faith Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Live Oak Classical, they will welcome Central Texas Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Central Texas Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully Live Oak Classical likes a good challenge.
