Soccer Game Preview: Reedy vs. Newman Smith

The Reedy Lions will square off against the Newman Smith Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Reedy is headed into Friday's contest following a draw, the team's first since January 17. They and Lone Star finished up their match with a 0-0 draw on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Newman Smith has been on a difficult stretch since their win on January 16. They played to a draw too, finishing 2-2 against The Colony. The victory was some much needed relief for Newman Smith as it spelled an end to their three-match losing streak.

Newman Smith's draw gives them a new season record of 3-13-3. As for Reedy, they moved theirs to 11-6-3.

Reedy came out on top in a nail-biter against Newman Smith in their previous meeting back in February, sneaking past 1-0. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
