Volleyball Recap: Scott's Branch Takes a Loss

Scott's Branch was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 3-1 to the Manning Monarchs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Monarchs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 on Monday.

Scott's Branch started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 8-25, 25-14, 25-10, 25-16.

Scott's Branch's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Manning, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, Scott's Branch will take on Baptist Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Eagles' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Manning, they will square off against Lake Marion at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
