Softball Recap: Chaparral Takes a Loss

Chaparral was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Austin Panthers, falling 12-3. The Lobos were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Chaparral saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sarah Rizo, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Chaparral's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Austin, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Coming up, Chaparral will be taking part in a tournament against Austin at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Austin, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 9-6 win against Anthony on the 14th.
