Football Recap: Temecula Valley Takes a Loss

Temecula Valley was the 24-23 winner over King when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Golden Bears fell 47-39 to the Wolves on Friday. While the Golden Bears had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Wolves 22-7.

Brandon Hillis threw for 168 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Graham Allen was his top target, picking up 126 receiving yards and two TDs.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead King to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ben* Major, who rushed for 250 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 11.9 yards per carry. Major showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 69 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of RJ* Aguilar, who rushed for 174 yards and one TD while picking up 8.7 yards per carry.

Temecula Valley has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for King, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2.

Temecula Valley didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 36-13 loss against Great Oak on the 23rd. As for King, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 51-24 defeat against Murrieta Mesa on the 24th.
