Softball Recap: Northwood Comes Up Short

Northwood fell victim to Chatham Central and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 15-0 to the Bears. Having soared to a lofty 18 runs in the game before, the Chargers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Northwood's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Chatham Central, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-1.

Looking ahead, Northwood will square off against North Moore at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Northwood's pitchers better be ready for this one: North Moore has averaged an impressive 12.4 runs per game this season. As for Chatham Central, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 10-8 victory against Southeast Alamance on the 24th.
