Softball Game Preview: Kewaskum Indians vs. New Holstein Huskies

Kewaskum hasn't had much luck against New Holstein recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Indians will host the Huskies at 9:00 a.m. Kewaskum will be strutting in after a win while New Holstein will be coming in after a loss.

Kewaskum is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Wisconsin's top teams: Kettle Moraine Lutheran, who was ranked eighth at the time (Kewaskum was ranked 23rd). The Indians came out on top in a nail-biter against the Chargers on Thursday, sneaking past 4-3. The victory continues a trend for the Indians in their matchups with the Chargers: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, New Holstein didn't have quite enough to beat Chilton on Thursday and fell 5-4. The defeat continues a trend for the Huskies in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost four in a row.

New Holstein's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Kewaskum, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Kewaskum came up short against New Holstein when the teams last played back in April of 2024, falling 4-1. Can the Indians avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
