Loretto picks up ninth straight win on the road

Recap: Loretto Mustangs vs. Lawrence County Wildcats

The Loretto Mustangs entered their tilt with the Lawrence County Wildcats with 13 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 14. Loretto blew past Lawrence County 52-31. Considering Loretto has won seven contests by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Loretto's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jenny Clifton, who scored 12 points. Ally Weathers was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.

Loretto's win was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.8 points per game. As for Lawrence County, they have fallen quite a ways from their 17-8 record last season and are now at 3-7.

Loretto will be playing at home against Moore County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lawrence County, they will head out on the road to face off against Giles County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Giles County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings (they are ranked 336th, while Lawrence County is ranked 166th).
