            Volleyball Recap: Inglewood Sentinels vs. Leuzinger Olympians        
        
		
        
        
            The home team had won the previous five meetings between Inglewood and Leuzinger, and Leuzinger kept the tradition alive. The Sentinels came up short against  the Olympians on Friday, falling  3-0. The Sentinels were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Olympians apparently hadn't forgotten their  defeat the last time these teams played  back in October of 2024.
 Inglewood was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the  first set very close. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-17,  25-18.
 Janae Canty paced Inglewood's offense, picking up seven kills. Canty were helped by Julia Ibe and  Abigal Aguirre, who contributed six assists each. Finally,  Taniyah Baker kept Inglewood's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.
Inglewood has  been struggling recently as they've  lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record  this season. As for Leuzinger,  the  win made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 3-5.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Inglewood is set to  challenge  their familiar foe Hawthorne  at 3:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Leuzinger will  face off against  rival Santa Monica  at 3:30  p.m.  on Wednesday.
