Volleyball Recap: Larned Takes a Loss

Larned lost against Nickerson back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Indians fell 2-0 to the Panthers.

The final score came out to 25-10, 25-7.

Larned's offense was headlined by Jadyn Crosby and Anna Simmons, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Brooke Simmons and her six assists.

Nickerson can attribute much of their success to Denae Engelland, who had 22 assists and seven digs. Engelland has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more assists the last three times she's played. Katy King also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Larned's loss dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Nickerson, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-17.

Larned wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Haven on the 30th. As for Nickerson, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Smoky Valley on the 2nd.
