Softball Recap: Trenton Trojans vs. Tecumseh Indians

Trenton put the finishing touches on their 11th blowout victory of the season on Saturday. They were the clear victor by an 11-4 margin over the Tecumseh Indians. The victory was nothing new for Trenton as they're now sitting on four straight.

Bri Thomas looked comfortable as she tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits.

On the hitting side, Trenton got a massive performance out of Annika Segedi, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Segedi has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Maggie Krohn was another key contributor, going 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBI.

Trenton is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 16 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6-1 record this season. As for Tecumseh, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Trenton will face off against Lincoln Park at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Trenton is facing Lincoln Park at the right time seeing as Lincoln Park is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Tecumseh, they are on the road again on Monday to play Adrian at 4:00 p.m.
