Soccer Game Preview: Apex Friendship vs. Heritage

The Apex Friendship Patriots will take on the Heritage Huskies at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Apex Friendship comes in on four and Heritage on five.

Apex Friendship is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They blew past Green Level 5-2. The result was nothing new for Apex Friendship, who have now won nine matches by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Heritage kept a clean sheet against Corinth Holders on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 5-0 margin over the Pirates. Heritage's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last four contests.

They hit Corinth Holders with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Landry Boyles (2), Brooklyn Knaus, Megan Findlen, and Nia Jones.

Heritage pushed their record up to 14-1-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four games. As for Apex Friendship, their victory bumped their record up to 16-5-2.

Apex Friendship couldn't quite get it done against Heritage in their previous matchup back in March as they fell 3-1. Can the Patriots avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
