Volleyball Recap: Ava Wilcox and Mya Madaris Secure Win for Hartsville

Hartsville won the last time they faced Lower Richland and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Red Foxes were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Diamond Hornets. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Red Foxes.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Hartsville took every set by at least 17 points. The final score came out to 25-6, 25-8, 25-3.

Hartsville was led to victory by Mya Madaris and Ava Wilcox. Madaris had six digs and five aces, while Wilcox had seven aces and five digs. Those seven aces gave Wilcox a new career-high.

They weren't the only good server: Hartsville was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 24 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Hartsville's win bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Lower Richland, their loss was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-3.

Hartsville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Crestwood on the 11th. As for Lower Richland, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Wilson on the 11th.
