Mount Miguel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They wound up on the wrong side of a tough 11-5 walloping at the hands of the Monte Vista Monarchs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Mount Miguel of the 7-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2023.

Tyler Kelly put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (he also only allowed one walk).
