Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mt. Vernon). They put the hurt on the Marion Wolves with a sharp 11-3 win on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Wolves: they've now won seven in a row.

Mt. Vernon's win bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Marion, they dropped their record down to 5-8 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Mt. Vernon beat the Wolves by a score of 5-4 later that day.
