Recap: Independence Falcons vs. Stockdale Mustangs
The Independence Falcons had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Monday. They walked away with a 57-48 win over Stockdale. For Independence, this counts as revenge for the 60-42 defeat Stockdale walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.
Leading Independence to victory were AMARIUS "AR" ROWEL and JAMES TANNER. ROWEL scored 18 points, while TANNER dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points TANNER has scored all season.
Independence has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. As for Stockdale, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-14.
Independence didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 77-62 defeat vs. Bakersfield Christian on the 7th. Stockdale has also already played their next game, a 52-44 loss against Garces Memorial on the 7th.
