Volleyball Recap: Iowa Colony Pioneers vs. McKinney Lions
Iowa Colony's tournament run continued when they took on McKinney on Friday. The Pioneers fell 2-0 to the Lions.
Kendal White paced Iowa Colony's offense, picking up four kills. White got some help from Breia Dixon and her five assists. White was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.
McKinney got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Arria Chatman out in front who had four aces and three digs. Those four aces gave Chatman a new career-high.
Iowa Colony's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for McKinney, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.
Coincidentally, Iowa Colony and McKinney will both be playing Seguin the next time they take the court. The Lions will host the Matadors at 9:15 a.m. on Friday, while the Pioneers will play them later in the day, at 10:00 a.m.
