Recap: Niceville Eagles vs. Nease Panthers
With a playoff game on the line, the Niceville Eagles rose to the challenge on Friday. They breezed by Nease on the road to the tune of 56-21. Considering Niceville has won seven matches by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Niceville's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB three times. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Maddox Hayles.
When it comes to explaining why Nease lost, one person who can't be blamed is Bryce Frick. Despite the final result, he threw for 241 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 82 yards on only eight carries.
Niceville has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Nease, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.
Niceville will be playing in front of their home fans against Bartram Trail at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (Bartram Trail is ranked 29th, while Niceville is ranked 37th). Nease does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
