Baseball Recap: Platte Valley Beats Limon for Their Third Straight Win

It's playoff time, and Platte Valley had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the Limon Badgers by a score of 10-6 on Saturday. Winning may never get old, but the Broncos sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Hazen Weber made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Hudson Flummerfelt was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, three doubles, and four RBI. Platte Valley is 10-1 when Flummerfelt posts two or more runs, but 6-8 otherwise. Nick Silvas was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Platte Valley's win bumped their record up to 16-9. As for Limon, they moved to 15-10 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Platte Valley nor the Badgers have any future games scheduled.
