Basketball Game Preview: Wyoming East Warriors vs. Bluefield Beavers

The Wyoming East Warriors will challenge the Bluefield Beavers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Wyoming East knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight contests -- so hopefully Bluefield likes a good challenge.

Wyoming East is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 78-57 margin over Summers County. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Bobcats recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bluefield). They walked away with a 79-67 victory over James Monroe on Friday. The win was some much needed relief for the Beavers as it spelled an end to their eight-game losing streak.

Wyoming East's victory bumped their record up to 17-3. As for Bluefield, their win bumped their record up to 3-20.

Everything came up roses for Wyoming East against Bluefield in their previous meeting two weeks ago, as the team secured a 78-43 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wyoming East since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
