Soccer Recap: Rocky River Takes a Loss

Rocky River was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They came up short against the East Mecklenburg Eagles, falling 11-0. While losing is never fun, Rocky River can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 435th, while East Mecklenburg are ranked 179th).

Rocky River's defeat dropped their record down to 0-13-2. As for East Mecklenburg, they moved to 8-8 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Rocky River is set to take on their familiar foe Charlotte Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, East Mecklenburg will face off against rival Independence at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
