Basketball Recap: Snow Canyon Picks Up 21st Consecutive Victory

Snow Canyon had won 20 straight games and Olivia Hamlin did her part to make it 21 on Thursday. The Snow Canyon Warriors simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Cedar Reds 66-31 thanks in part to Hamlin, who almost dropped a double-double on 33 points and nine rebounds. The match was her 47th in a row with at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Joey Jensen, who went 5 of 11 en route to 12 points along with six assists and five boards. She has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played.

Snow Canyon's victory was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 21-0. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.8 points per game. As for Cedar, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-8.

Coincidentally, Snow Canyon and Cedar will both be playing Dixie the next time they take the court. Cedar will host Dixie at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Snow Canyon will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
