Recap: Colorado Academy Mustangs vs. Lutheran Lions

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Colorado Academy Mustangs had no problem doing just that on Friday. Everything went their way against the Lions as they made off with a 57-32 win. Colorado Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Alex May continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 19 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 19 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Anna Johnson, who scored 15 points along with two steals.

Despite the defeat, Lutheran saw an underclassman step up: Jayda Vigil scored 13 points along with two steals. Berkley Schneider was another key contributor, scoring six points along with 11 rebounds and two steals.

Lutheran struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Colorado Academy racked up 15 assists.

Colorado Academy is on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 18 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season. As for Lutheran, their loss dropped their record down to 14-11.
