Softball Recap: Lake Minneola Comes Up Short

Lake Minneola managed to slip by The Villages Charter the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Lake Minneola Hawks came up short against The Villages Charter Buffalo on Thursday, falling 7-1. The Hawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Buffalo apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2023.

Lake Minneola saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nevaeha Parra, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Lake Minneola's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-4. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for The Villages Charter, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lake Minneola will face off against Lake Weir at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for The Villages Charter, they will take on Tavares at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
