Baseball Recap: Pocola Comes Up Short

Pocola came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 15-6 to the Talihina Golden Tigers. If the Indians were looking for revenge after losing 9-0 to the Golden Tigers when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Pocola has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season. The win (which was Talihina's fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-3.

Looking ahead, Pocola will venture away from home to square off against Smithville at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Talihina, they will welcome Rattan at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Rattan's pitching crew has only allowed 1.4 runs per game this season, so Talihina's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
