Football Recap: Todd County Takes a Loss

Todd County and Winnebago squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Todd County had to settle for second. They were dealt a 36-8 defeat at the hands of the Indians. The Falcons were red-hot offensively heading into the contest (they scored no less than 31 points in the four games prior), but the Indians' defense proved too tough.

Chris Ellert threw for 57 yards and one TD. Oniya Whirlwind Soldier was his top target, picking up 50 receiving yards and one score. On the ground, Bane Yellow Eagle rushed for 39 yards.

Todd County moved to 8-2 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak. As for Winnebago, the win keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.
