Football Recap: Gordonsville Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Gordonsville's offense. They came up short against the Stone Memorial Panthers on Friday, falling 21-0.

Stone Memorial's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lauren Clark, who threw for 111 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 46 yards. Lily Hinch was in the mix too, providing Stone Memorial with two touchdowns.

Gordonsville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Stone Memorial, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Gordonsville will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Stone Memorial at 5:00 p.m. on April 3rd. As for Stone Memorial, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 35-0 win against Smith County on the 14th.
