Basketball Game Preview: Barstow Aztecs vs. Adelanto Saints

Barstow hasn't had much luck against Adelanto recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Barstow Aztecs will head out to challenge the Adelanto Saints at 7:00 p.m. Adelanto took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Barstow, who comes in off a win.

Barstow took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They slipped by Granite Hills 51-50.

Meanwhile, after a string of seven wins, Adelanto's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They lost 62-39 to Pacifica Christian. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Saints have suffered since December 28, 2024.

Adelanto's loss ended a nine-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-5. As for Barstow, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 13-10.

Barstow was dealt a bruising 74-41 defeat at the hands of Adelanto in their previous matchup on January 8th. Can Barstow avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
