Baseball Game Preview: Patrick County Cougars vs. Amherst County Lancers

The Patrick County Cougars will head out on the road to take on the Amherst County Lancers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Patrick County has four straight victories, Amherst County has seven straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Patrick County proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 11) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Amherst County 6-4.

Jaiden Wilson was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. He has become a key player for Patrick County: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 5-6 otherwise.

Patrick County's win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Amherst County, their loss dropped their record down to 3-15.
