Leo Cordova leads Harvest Prep Academy to victory over Gila Bend

On Tuesday, Harvest Prep Academy beat Gila Bend 59-49. The win was all the more spectacular given Harvest Prep Academy's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 292nd, while Gila Bend is ranked 128th).
Leo Cordova continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 31 points along with five rebounds and five steals. That makes it eight consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Harvest Prep Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Jeremiah Endriga, who scored ten points along with nine assists and three steals.
The victory makes it two in a row for Harvest Prep Academy and bumps their season record up to 3-5. As for Gila Bend, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Harvest Prep Academy will challenge Tohono O'Odham at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Gila Bend, they will head out on the road to face off against Skyview at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Skyview is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.
