Baseball Recap: Mccluer North Wins Going Away Against Riverview Gardens

McCluer North's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Riverview Gardens Rams as they made off with an 11-1 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Stars also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Telly Cornell was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with five stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. He has become a key player for McCluer North: the team is 4-2 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 2-7 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Joseph Kane, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

McCluer North's win bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Riverview Gardens, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.
