Soccer Recap: Bruton Takes a Loss

Bruton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 6-0 to the Jamestown Eagles. While losing is never fun, Bruton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 208th, while Jamestown are ranked 40th).

Bruton's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Jamestown, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-3-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Bruton is set to take on their familiar foe Poquoson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Jamestown will square off against rival Smithfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
