Football Recap: University Bulldogs vs. Resurrection Christian Cougars

University had lost three straight at home, but on Friday they dropped down to 4-5 to make it four. They took a blow against the Resurrection Christian Cougars, falling 42-15. If the Bulldogs were looking for revenge after losing 30-22 to the Cougars when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the loss, University still got an impressive performance from Michael Kelly, who picked up 92 receiving yards and a pair of TDs, and also rushed for 54 yards on only seven carries. Kelly got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 55 yards.

As for Resurrection Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. The result was nothing new for Resurrection Christian, who have now won five games by 27 points or more so far this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Resurrection Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Britton Walston, who rushed for 128 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries. Walston has been hot, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last seven times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jaxson Pszanka, who gained 94 total yards and two touchdowns.

As of now, neither University nor Resurrection Christian have any future games scheduled.
