While Spencer County's victory against Christian Academy-Louisville wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bears had just enough and edged out the Centurions 7-6. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 13-3 back in March.

Spencer County got a great performance from Addyson Pawul as she didn't allow a single earned run over 4.2 innings pitched. Pawul has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Joslyn Waldridge was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Hunt, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Spencer County has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season. As for Christian Academy-Louisville, they dropped their record down to 1-8 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Spencer County will head out to challenge Shelby County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Christian Academy-Louisville, they will host Walnut Hills at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.83 runs per game on average), something the Centurions will no doubt try to take advantage of.
