            Volleyball Recap: Vail Mountain Rangers vs. Plateau Valley Cowboys        
        
		
        
        
            Vail Mountain was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their third straight  loss. They fell  3-1 to the Plateau Valley Cowboys. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rangers of the  3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in October of 2024.
 The  loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive:  Plateau Valley scored at least 17 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 18-25, 25-19,  25-17.
  Lili Taylor went supernova For Plateau Valley.,  getting 27  digs and two  aces. The dominant performance also gave  Taylor a new career-high in  assists (six).  Lexi Taylor also deserves some recognition as  she  had her first  block of the season.
Vail Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Plateau Valley, their victory was  their third straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 17-1.
 Looking ahead, Vail Mountain will head out to  take on Meeker  at 5:30  p.m.  on  the 27th. As for Plateau Valley, they will challenge Nucla at 3:00  p.m.  on Saturday.
