Baseball Recap: Chapman Takes a Loss

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three matches, Chapman finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They came up short against the Rock Creek Mustangs, falling 10-0. The loss continues a trend for the Irish in their meetings with the Mustangs: they've now lost nine in a row.

Chapman saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aven Woods, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Chapman's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Rock Creek, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Rock Creek beat Chapman by a score of 18-1 later that day.
