Basketball Game Preview: Stony Point Tigers vs. Sotomayor WILDCATS

A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Tigers take on the WILDCATS at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Stony Point's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Stony Point is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They breezed past Dripping Springs to the tune of 78-50. Stony Point has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 18 matches by 20 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Stony Point to victory, but perhaps none more so than Uzziah Buntyn, who went 7-for-15 en route to 21 points along with seven assists and five rebounds. The contest was Buntyn's fifth in a row with at least 20 points. Another player making a difference was Jayden Cruz, who went 6-for-7 on his way to 17 points.

Meanwhile, Sotomayor didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Churchill on Tuesday, but they still walked away with a 50-46 win.

Sotomayor's victory bumped their record up to 18-14. As for Stony Point, their win was their 20th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 30-4.
