Soccer Game Preview: Pilgrim vs. Chariho

The Pilgrim Patriots will face off against the Chariho Chargers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Pilgrim's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for 17 straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Pilgrim managed to keep up with Smithfield until halftime on Saturday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Patriots came up short against the Sentinels, falling 4-0.

Meanwhile, Chariho faced Mt. Hope in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Chargers came out on top against the Huskies by a score of 4-2. Winning may never get old, but Chariho sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

They hit Mt. Hope with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Claire Short (2), Aubrie Currier, and Evelyn Campbell.

Pilgrim's defeat dropped their record down to 0-16-1. As for Chariho, their win bumped their record up to 7-5-2.
