Volleyball Recap: Doral Academy Red Rock Comes Up Short

Doral Academy Red Rock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Mojave Rattlers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rattlers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in March.

Doral Academy Red Rock took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-9, 25-19.

Jeremiah Cabande paced Doral Academy Red Rock's offense, picking up three kills. Cabande got some help from Jacob Doyle and his six assists. Doyle was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Aaron Bagalawis was the offensive standout of the match as he had three digs, two aces, and one block. He has been hot for a while, having also posted 15 or more assists the last 12 times he's played.

Doral Academy Red Rock's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Mojave, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-11.
