North Tonawanda came tearing into Wednesday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 46 points), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Lewiston-Porter Lancers as they made off with a 63-38 victory. Given the Lumberjacks' advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 46th, while the Lancers are ranked 227th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

North Tonawanda's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lilly Day, who almost dropped a triple-double with 21 points, nine rebounds, and ten steals. Day has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jakayla Brown, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 18 boards.

North Tonawanda's victory bumped their record up to 18-2. As for Lewiston-Porter, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

As of now, neither North Tonawanda nor Lewiston-Porter have any future games scheduled.
