Volleyball Recap: Sebeka Trojans vs. Walker-Hackensack-Akeley Wolves
With a playoff game on the line, Sebeka rose to the challenge on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Walker-Hackensack-Akeley Wolves. Winning may never get old, but the Trojans sure are getting used to it with their 12th in a row.
While Sebeka won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-4, 25-8.
Miranda Lillquist paced Sebeka's offense, picking up 11 kills. Lillquist got some help from
Jaylin Lillquist and her 26 assists.
Kylah Watson controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.
Sebeka pushed their record up to 22-7 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Walker-Hackensack-Akeley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-20.
Sebeka will challenge Browerville/Eagle Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Walker-Hackensack-Akeley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
