Volleyball Recap: Santa Fe Comes Up Short

Santa Fe was the 2-0 winner over Calvary Christian when they last played one another back in September of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Raiders took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors on Monday.

Santa Fe was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Calvary Christian work for it, especially in the fourth set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-23, 23-25, 29-27.

Delaney Wingenbach paced Santa Fe's offense, picking up 22 kills. Wingenbach got some help from Gracyn Marshall and her 26 assists. Karlee Noah controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Santa Fe's loss dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Calvary Christian, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 16-1.

Santa Fe and Calvary Christian should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings. The Raiders will square off against The Rock at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (35 vs. 91). Meanwhile, Calvary Christian (ranked first) will meet Indian Rocks Christian (ranked 116th) at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
