Basketball Recap: Goode STEM Academy Takes a Loss

Goode STEM Academy lost against Bowen back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Goode STEM Academy Knights were dealt an 86-35 loss at the hands of the Bowen Boilermakers. The Knights were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-17.

Bowen's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ahmad Marega, who went 7 of 10 on his way to 20 points along with six boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Rae'Qwon Rogers, who went 6 for 14 on his way to 17 points in addition to seven boards and six assists.

With the defeat, Goode STEM Academy broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-2. As for Bowen, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-4.

Goode STEM Academy will take on Rickover Naval in a holiday battle at 5:00 p.m. on Monday at. As for Bowen, they will square off against Lutheran at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
