Football Recap: Ansonia Tigers vs. Tri-Village Patriots

If Ansonia was feeling good fresh off their 52-6 takedown of Tri-County North last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers were dealt a 55-22 loss at the hands of the Tri-Village Patriots on Friday. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Patriots apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Trey Sagester had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 266 yards and three TDs while completing 75% of his passes, and also rushing for 35 yards for Tri-Village. 117 of Sagester's passing yards were hauled in by Griffin Richards.

Ansonia's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Tri-Village, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Ansonia is set to challenge their familiar foe Twin Valley South at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Tri-Village will face off against rival Mississinawa Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Patriots 9.2, the Blackhawks 10.8) so any points scored will be well earned.
