Volleyball Recap: Union Comes Up Short

Union was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Wapahani Raiders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rockets of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Union may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored six points in every single set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-6, 25-6.

Wapahani was led to victory by Caylee Clements and Caroline Huntzinger. Clements had five aces and one assist, while Huntzinger had four digs and four aces. Huntzinger has been hot, having also posted 16 or more assists the last five times she's played.

Union's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Wapahani, they pushed their record up to 19-5 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Union is set to take on their familiar foe Blue River Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Wapahani will face off against rival Cowan at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
