Volleyball Recap: Clear Lake Falcons vs. Clear Springs Chargers
Clear Lake suffered their biggest defeat since October 29, 2024 on Thursday. They came up short against the Clear Springs Chargers, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chargers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in September.
While Clear Lake ultimately came up short, they really made Clear Springs work, particularly in the second set. The final score came out to 25-10, 26-24, 25-21.
Morgan Regner paced Clear Lake's offense, picking up 12 kills. Regner got some help from Peyton Aldridge and her 19 assists. Regner was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.
Clear Springs found their leader in sophomore Aubree Svoboda, who had 15 digs and six aces. Those 15 digs set a new season-high mark for Svoboda. Another player making a difference was Adelyn Simpson, who had nine assists and eight digs.

With the loss, Clear Lake broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 24-13. As for Clear Springs, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 31-8.
