Volleyball Recap: Stratford Academy Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Stratford Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 2-0 to the Calvary Christian Knights on Tuesday. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-15.

Calvary Christian pushed their record up to 2-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Stratford Academy has already played their next game (against Mary Persons), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Calvary Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against First Presbyterian Day on the 5th.
