Softball Recap: Edgerton Comes Up Short

Edgerton lost to Monroe back in April of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Crimson Tide lost 18-2 to the Cheesemakers. The Crimson Tide have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Edgerton saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brenna Callmer, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Edgerton's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Monroe, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-2.

Coming up, Edgerton will head out to face off against McFarland at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Monroe, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Evansville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cheesemakers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Blue Devils have averaged an impressive 9.6 runs per game this season.
