Volleyball Recap: Martinsville Takes a Loss

Martinsville lost against New Palestine on Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Artesians fell 2-0 to the Dragons. The Artesians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Their offense was headlined by Eli Bennett and Owen Zurita, who picked up two kills apiece. They were helped by Cameron Sylvester and Garrett Gardner, who contributed three assists each.

Martinsville now has a losing record of 4-5. As for New Palestine, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Martinsville has already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Beech Grove on the 21st. As for New Palestine, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Southport on the 19th.
