Baseball Recap: Robert F. Kennedy Community Has No Trouble Against Mendez

Robert F. Kennedy Community made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Mendez, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Robert F. Kennedy Community Bobcats were the clear victor by an 11-5 margin over the Mendez Jaguars on Monday. This was payback for the Bobcats, who suffered an 18-3 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Aaron Arroyo made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single hit any time he's pitched this season. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Giancarlo Pena was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-4. Miguel Chavez was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Robert F. Kennedy Community now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Mendez, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.
